Lazy Days in Paris

View of the Promenade Plantee

I haven't been very attentive to my blog lately as summer finally came to Paris! (Notice past tense - it was beautiful the last bit of May, but has been decidedly rainy the last few days.) We spent our days lazily wandering the city, walking along the Seine and the canals, and hitting up some of our favourite parks in the city, like Luxembourg and the Promenade Plantee (the high line of Paris), and fretting our days away with picnics and simple meals, people watching, and sun bathing. We also took a quick trip over to the UK to visit friends and family, where the weather wasn't so pleasant, but the company certainly was.

A few of pictures from our "summer" in Paris:

Tasty food and coffee including this pizza.

And finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention our trip to Blé Sucré to try what's been dubbed the best croissant in Paris. It was delectable - flaky, buttery, chewy and perfect! Best indeed!
