Weekend Links
Canada turns 150 today! I'm excited! I'm proud to be a Canadian and proud of this wonderful country I get to call home. What are you doing to celebrate? We might go down to the Old Port or check out the parade. Oh, and because I'm a bit of a nerd, I bought our whole family matching Canada 150 bunnyhugs (that's Saskatchewanian for hoodie!).
Have a great long weekend, and here are a few few links from around the web...
The Globe and Mail's annual giant crossword in a special Canada 150 edition. I love this! I remember doing these with my mom! (In a mood for more puzzles, check out this Canada 150 quiz from Maclean's. I tried a few and thought it was pretty tricky!)
50 places to travel in Canada — and they actually include some places in Saskatchewan! I love reading these types of lists, but they so often skip over Saskatchewan. I don't live there anymore, but there are many great places to see in that province. It's not all flat land and endless sky, and even where it is — that's beautiful too! (What a gorgeous Canadian travel blog, btw!)
Speaking of Saskatchewan, there is nothing more prairie than a good old saskatoon berry. If I could get my hand on some down east I would try to make this.
And finally, a look back on the blog. I think we'll start our long weekend with my favourite basic pancake recipe.
Happy Canada Day!
XOXO
