Currently Craving: Shearling Boots

Shearling clog boots

I already added a second pair of boots to my winter boot collection this year — I snagged a very practical pair of  Cougar boots for less than half price at the beginning of fall — but I'm craving these amazing winter boots by No. 6.

My clog craving hasn't diminished since this summer and these winter boots look super warm and very cool. And I have a confession to make: I love shearling boots. My Ugg boots are one of my most worn items in my closet. I got a new pair of classic slim boots last winter and they are so warm and comfy. Even through the coldest winter days my toes stayed toasty and warm, and with the thicker sole I made it through slushy Montreal streets dry as a bone, and didn't get any salt or water stains on my boots. But Uggs are a little uncool, you know, and these shearling boots are very, very (hipster) cool, aren't they?

I haven't dived into the world of clogs yet though, because, besides the very high price tag, I just don't know if they are comfortable. I know people who wear clogs swear by them, but I walk a lot. On a typical weekday I clock at least 8 km (about 5 miles), and because I'm often running late, a lot of these miles are at race-walking pace. And honestly most days I eschew my more stylish ankle boots for my sneakers (or now that it's cold my aforementioned Ugg boots). I need to have comfy shoes. Can clogs handle this kind of daily mileage? They are
très cool though.

Clogs, yay or nay?

XOXO
